The True Value of Finishing
The quote was from Quick Printer Magazine in the States, and it was a survey
of around 500 Quick Printers in the US...
Finishing made up about 10% of the total revenue of jobs, but of
that 10% was 50% of their total profit.
ie. £100,000 order.
£10,000 of the revenue charged was for finishing
£90,000 of the revenue charged was for print (and other)
BUT
£10,000 was the total profit.
£5,000 of the profit was made on the finishing
£5,000 of the profit was made on the print.
It shows from our point of view that the value really is in the finishing,
not the flat sheet.
